DALE DAUTEN

Dale Dauten has authored six books on leadership and innovation, including The Gifted Boss, published by William Morrow. He writes two newspaper columns nationally syndicated by King Features, and is founder of The Innovators' Lab¨, whose clients include Caterpillar, Avnet, Kraft Foods and NASA.

Dale Dauten has been researching achievers and innovation since his days at Arizona State and at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. His early work prompted a government publication to call him a "guru" to White House staffers, and since then, his books been published in a dozen languages and have developed a large following worldwide, especially in Japan.

As founder of The Innovators' Lab¨, Dale has done idea generation work with dozens of firms, including Georgia-Pacific, United Auto Group, General Dynamics, Caterpillar and NASA.

He also writes two newspaper columns, both nationally syndicated by King Features: "The Corporate Curmudgeon" and "JT and Dale Talk Jobs" (with employment expert, Jeannine "JT" O'Donnell). His work appears weekly in seventy newspapers.

Dale lives in Tempe, Arizona.
